Assam down town University (AdtU) is a dynamic and innovative university located beside the magnificent Brahmaputra River. Founded with a mission to provide a nurturing environment for young minds to flourish and grow, AdtU offers a diverse range of courses that cover subjects essential and relevant in today's world. With over 8,000 students hailing from the North East Region and other countries such as Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Korea, and Africa, AdtU caters to their academic needs through its 60+ programs across 9 faculties of study. These faculties include Engineering, Computer Technology, Commerce and Management, Hotel Management, Nursing, Paramedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Lifelong Learning.

AdtU is home to multiple Centres of Excellence in Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, and Computer Technology. Its down town Venture Lab fosters a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among its faculty and students, with ample support in terms of seed funding and infrastructure provided by the university. Additionally, AdtU offers unique amenities such as a Nano Lab, Amphitheatre, Indoor Swimming Pool, Playgrounds, Robotics and Gaming Club, Drama Club, Music Club, Literary Club, Animal House, Gymnasium, Yoga Center, and more. Apart from academic excellence, AdtU is committed to serving society in various ways. It offers life skill training to people in 6 adopted villages under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, and its NCC wings, 50 Assam Girls Battalion and 60 Assam Air Wing, have achieved significant milestones.

AdtU's NSS unit organizes various activities such as flood relief camps, garden establishment, and infrastructure development in nearby schools. With a strong placement record, AdtU students secure jobs with lucrative packages ranging from 9 lakhs. Its alumni occupy prominent positions in government and national and international corporate organizations, a testament to the university's dedication to academic and holistic development.
