QS I-GAUGE University Rating uses a comprehensive framework to highlight a university's strengths and unique attributes. The assessment evaluates institutions across seven core criteria and two advanced criteria, providing a holistic understanding of their performance. Based on the results, universities are awarded overall and category-specific badges, ranging from Bronze to Platinum+. These badges serve as a mark of institutional excellence, enabling students, parents, peers, partners, and other stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.

QS I-GAUGE University Rating process
We use a robust model to evaluate universities based on key metrics. Our comprehensive approach provides valuable insights for students, parents, and educators, aiding in well-informed decision-making.
Process Initiation
A dedicated Research Analyst initiates the process by conducting a detailed orientation session with the assigned Point of Contact (POC) from the university. This orientation ensures clarity on data requirements and establishes a seamless communication channel for acquiring necessary information.
Data Collection
The assessment process involves two key data sources: survey data collected from students, faculty, and alumni and self-reported data submitted by the university in a standardized format. The data is securely stored in cloud storage, maintaining strict confidentiality throughout and after the assessment.
Data and Evidence Evaluation
Our Research Analyst maintains regular communication with the university's Point of Contact (POC) to clarify and gather additional evidence as necessary. Upon completion, the assessment undergoes rigorous quality checks conducted by QS I-GAUGE peer reviewers and the QS Intelligence Unit in London, ensuring its accuracy and reliability.
University Rating
Following the assessment, the university receives a detailed scorecard that highlights its key strengths and areas for improvement. The university will be awarded a certificate, an overall rating badge, and category-wise badges. Results are published on the QS I-GAUGE website to assist students, parents, and other stakeholders in making informed decisions.
